Why I Now want a Tablet PC

by Brad Isaac on February 15, 2006

I admit over the years I haven’t been very keen on the idea of Tablet PCs.  My thoughts were they were too overpriced, too easily damaged and not enough bang for the buck.  After viewing Tracy Hooten’s Tablet PC productivity video, I think I’m going to add a nice Tablet PC to my goal list and start working on getting one. She demos a couple of programs she uses for studies.

It looks like I might have to code my software differently for use on the tablets.  But if you carry a laptop and are thinking of an upgrade, you need to see her video…Look at her go!

The Student Tablet PC: MY Camtasia Video: Student Apps Demo (#1)

Programs shown are GoBinder, Acrobat, MindManager, VirtualTI, My Font Tool, Equation Writer + Word. OneNote will be covered later when I feel more comfy with it, along with some others in a little thing we have in the works (TBA later).

very cool demo. What would you end up going with if you did get a tablet PC?

That’s great news, Brad! Happy you enjoyed the video. I’d love to have some tablet-friendly programs with your creative genius behind them ^_^.

You have a lot of people in the tablet world to help with your dicision if you need any help!

Kip, I am going to have to ask some other Tablet PC users what they recommend.
