Master Your Inbox Email Course

Master your Outlook Inbox

Who among us feels buried by their Outlook Inbox?

It’s always a challenge to stay ahead on the emails isn’t it?   In one of my searches, I found an email course on the subject called Master Your Inbox. I wondered how effective an email course would actually be for learning email management. After all,   Isn’t that adding MORE email to the pile?

But they had a free trial so I signed up.

Turns out each day’s installment is a short and helpful message maybe a paragraph long.   It’s a simple way to learn step by step some time saving Outlook tips.   They send 1 or 2 tips per day for 60 days I believe. I’ll admit, having used Outlook since Windows 95, I already knew some of the tips but some did surprise me.

To me, the 4th in the series is worth the whole price of admission. It will probably save me 2 hours this week alone.   I don’t want to ruin any surprises, but basically the tip helps you cut back on repeating the same emails day in and out.

If you find yourself typing the same email over and over, you can save time by creating a template.   Problem is Microsoft’s template system is pretty crummy.   Tip #4 is a very simple way to get around using Microsoft’s templates for faster access. Since I often answer the same questions 3-4 times a day each, templates do save time. But this tip will save me even more time – I was left wondering why didn’t I think of that?

Has anyone else tried the course?   Let us know your thoughts.

Although this sound very interesting I have gotten where I cannot use plain outlook after using Nelson Email Organizer the last couple of years. I save so much time looking for or organizing emails. I am sure that these tips might save additional time but it is hard to spend the money after having the NEO program. Its is definitely worth the money and there is a trial available. Check it out if you have never used it. The longer you have it, the more you learn to do with it.
