Seeing Benefits in Advance Drives Motivation: Breakthrough #21 of 101

by Brad Isaac on January 11, 2008

What drives you to take action?

Most people are persuaded to action so they can get something in return.

When you work you get money.

When you exercise you get in shape.

When you do a good deed it goes unpunished you get the thanks of others. :)

But what do you get from working on your goal? What is the end result? What does it’s eventual achievement mean to you and your future?

Make a list of every benefit of achieving this goal and the steps in-between. Get as many down as you can because as proven, benefits lure you and motivate you to work harder.
