I quit smoking, I drink less and I'm jogging 3-4 times a week. Let's see how much longer can I keep it up ;) O. Well it’s been 2 months and I’m still commited to my New Year’s resolution. I find that works better than setting 'resolutions' that don't often get reviewed. BTW, one of my current goals is coaching seven 10-year-old kids to think creatively (Odyssey of the Mind). Real challenging to coach without directly showing them how to build things. Haven't yet figured out how to break that task down into bite-sized chunks. Especially challenging when all you get is blank looks when you ask them what a palm-leaf looks like and how do you replicate that with things that are to hand... Any tips on building creativity very welcome! P.S. Ich kann nicht sprechen Deutsch, but I looked up the text above Post Comment on iGoogle translator - maybe a goal should be to learn more German than I know now ... The checkbox at the bottom says "Ja, ich möchte bei Kommentaren benachrichtigt werden!" I'm still setting goals. The problem I have is that out of all the things I could do, which ones should I put my time and energy into? Eric S. And who cares that half of them stay undone? Important thing is that another half gets done! :) This year I'm going to start driving a car, get professional certification, learn playing harmonica, and many more interesting things. Christines last blog post..? ????? 2009 ?????! Yep, making NY TODO-lists every year – “12 steps that will change my life” :) .

I do, however, use the turning of the year as a time for reviewing and refreshing and re-committing to my goals. But I refuse to call them new year's resolutions. Ricky Buchanans last blog post..Weekend Round-Up: See You In January 2009! I don’t set new year’s resolutions because psychologically my “feel” about them is they’re pie-in-the-sky resolutions which are followed for a week then dropped until 31 December at which point guilt about “not being good enough” sets in.
