“The spirit ain’t worth spit…

That was a Clint Eastwood quote from the movie Pale Rider. I was watching this movie this past Saturday when suddenly this motivational quote came out of Clint’s mouth during the scene where they he was helping the gold miner break up a boulder blocking part of the stream.
Pale Rider is AMC’s movie of the month currently, so if you haven’t seen it, you can probably catch it later this month. It’s a classic western for those who don’t like westerns Me Included. One of the cool things about watching it on AMC is before commercials they show various factoids about Eastwood and the other stars. (Didn’t realize Sean Penn’s brother Chris Penn played the bad guy’s son). Other commentary included how the movie Pale Rider resurrected the western genre of moviemaking. It was thought to be dead in 1980 or so. Pale Rider came along opening the doors to other westerns such as cough - Young Guns and Unforgiven.
