Blog naming: Achieve-It or Persistence Unlimited?

by Brad Isaac on December 15, 2005

I am thinking about changing the title of this blog to persistence unlimited. I don’t want to confuse anyone, by changing the name mid-stream. But obviously, it would be nice for the domain name and Title to match.

Plus, on more than one occasion, someone has written to ask about Achieve-IT! And the way the question was phrased confused me to what they were talking about. Were they talking about the goal software? The blog? Or the newsletter? So if I am confused, I am sure others are too.. LOL

So what do you think? Change the name? Don’t change it? If I don’t get any responses, I’ll assume the change in names won’t affect you. :)

I prefer the Achieve-IT name myself, but I understand your concern with the domain name. You could always register achieve-it.com and park it to point to the same IP address as persistenceunlimited.com. That way users could use either one. I do this all the time for my clients that want multiple domain names to point to the same web site. Email can be sent to either domain as well. (Some of this could bary by host, however.)

By the way, I just discovered your blog and am really enjoying it! Keep up the good work!

I’ll have to look and see if Achieve-it.com is available, it wasn’t when I was searching for domain names.

Thanks for the tip.

I like Rick’s idea. Then you aren’t committed to a single option. ;-)
