If you were to ask me why I got into programming, I’d tell you what a thrill it is to create something people can use and benefit. It is made that much better to hear such positive feedback in the comments and my email.
I’ve even learned some new uses for TaskBlaze from your comments! For instance, if you tag your categories with people’s names as well as your base category (i.e. meetings, Sally, James) You can really drill down to specific meetings in your schedule by filtering by a person’s name.
One concern: I read one comment from someone who will be using it to fight off a micromanaging boss. I hope people won’t use it for micromanaging people – I don’t believe in micromanagement. It stifles creativity and solutioning and is often a sign of distrust of your employee. So if you are wanting to deploy it to your workforce as a control tool so you can know what they are doing every minute of the day, please don’t. Micromanagement is a form of pressure, someone who is pressured may do their job, but nothing more.
My e-mail has been overflowing with comments, questions and enhancement requests. I like the company! . But I will admit I am behind on answering mail. So if you’ve e-mailed, there may be a delay due to traffic congestion.
In the meantime, enjoy! Send it to your friends. I think it would be awesome if this little app went viral. It seems to have a great start since it’s been downloaded some 2,200 times and was only released this past Friday. You can help me do it!

It is a very good application for me. I no longer have to guess how long it takes me to complete a trouble ticket or any task.
There are too many overly complicated programs out there, and this one is simple, it does what I need, and it works.
Kudos!
