Google Web Accelerator (Re)Released

by Brad Isaac on March 15, 2006

I was browsing last night when I noticed that Google Web Accelerator had been released.  Apparently it was out for a short time, but then pulled.  Now it looks like it’s back again.

I downloaded it and am trying it out.  There’s a disclaimer though that possible personal info can be sent to Google and that sites you didn’t intend to view may be downloaded to the Google Cache on your hard drive.

Any opinions from people who have been using it?

i used GWA when it first came out, but it didn’t play nice with Bloglines, which is a keystone app for me (and on which i read Achieve-IT), so i canned it. might try again…

I find Opera to be just as fast, if not faster. I think they both use the same trick, visiting links when idle and storing them on a cache.
Nice blog, by the way, I liked the caffeine nap.

Thanks :)

So far in the last day, I’ve saved 4.1 minutes. Might just add up.
