ZAP Reader Browser Speed Reader is Live!

by Brad Isaac on August 13, 2006

I have been keeping a secret from you.  My buddy Ricky Spears has been working dilligently on a speed reading application called Zap Reader for the past few months.  He swore me to secrecy, but let me poke my nose into the project and give my comments.

Frankly, it was almost perfect from day one.   So it was difficult to come up with any changes ("Change the background color to .001% lighter shade ) It was and is an enjoyable application to use.  You just go to the site you want to read, click the handy bookmarklet and you are reading that page 2, 3, or 4 times faster than you normally would.

There is also a nice feature where you can paste in any text you want and Zap read it too.

It is both a fun and effective program to use so I recommend you head over and try it.

Link: ZAP Reader.

ZAP Reader is a web based speed reading program that will change the way you read on your computer. Current beta testers report reading twice as much in half the time-that’s a 400% increase in reading speed, without any loss in comprehension! There is nothing to install, it works with most popular browsers, and it’s totally free!

Brad – Thanks for the super kind words! Best of luck with the latest version of Achieve-IT! too. You’re going to be improving lots of people’s lives with that.

Ricky, thank you for giving me the chance to try it out before you released it. I think you are going to be very successful with it.

Great application there!

Our company runs a speedreading course that sort of tool would be good in teaching business owners and others who want to read faster.

Good Stuff

That’s fantastic! I’ve been wanting something like this for use outside the PPC realm ever since getting hooked on Speed Reader Plus.

This has a nicer interface, and likely better support. Looking forward to being more productive with it!

As a long time user of Speed Reader Plus myself, I must say I really like Zap Reader better too. Plus I mainly only read webpages with it anyway so it’s much more convenient. :)
