A Word That Dissolves Failure

by Brad Isaac on June 11, 2007

What if I told you there was one word that could determine whether you would succeed or fail at any goal you aim for? Would you want to gain mastery of that word? Would you take advantage of its awesome power?

This word will make you optimistic and more certain when times get tough and temptation to quit is high.

Words have the power to move you. The mind thinks in pictures but is motivated by words. Just like a poorly worded criticism can negatively affect someone for days, a powerful motivating word can carry you through to goal completion.

In fact, people who don’t achieve their goals have likely failed to adopt this word. If they had, they would not have given up.

This word doesn’t totally eliminate setbacks, delays or disappointments. It shrugs off setbacks as being a part of life. If you master this word you don’t have to stress or strain to achieve – failure is only a temporary setback.

- It is a simple word most learn by the time we are toddlers – but few ever recognize its great power.

- Make it your personal mantra and you will be able to do anything – success is just a matter of time.

A warning: You might be tempted to shrug it off or click away. But stay with me. This word has helped me conquer fears and setbacks along the way to my goals that would make some want to give up immediately .

So without further ado, the word I’m talking about is until.

Think about that for a moment. What great things could you do if you persisted until?

A setback comes along and instead of quitting; you remember your plan to work until you were successful?

Isn’t it funny how doing something until you reach a certain outcome solidifies your effort?

Words have meaning and until has leverage. It reinforces your persistence and it convinces others of your dedication.

If you employ people, would you rather have someone say “I’ll work on fixing the issue!” or an employee that says “I’ll work until I fix the problem.”?

So adopt the word Until. It dissolves all excuses.
