I’ve been burning the midnight oil a lot lately. As expected, I get tired and it makes my job all the more difficult. So I set out to find some new energy tips and here’s what I found.
Todd Goldfarb in his 10 tips, mentioned stretching – which I frequently forget to do. Stretching not only increases energy, it reduces tension, increases circulation and coordination. I do have to disagree with Todd on his suggestion to eat a bigger meal in the middle of the day. If I do that, it’s nap time – sort of the opposite of what we’re shooting for.
Trent at The Simple Dollar suggests spending solid time doing nothing sprinkled in with a generous helping of fun.
Ririan Project shows how to fight fatigue morning, noon and night. The suggestion I liked most from the list was putting on rock music. The argument being that the perception of more energy makes your mind and body feel more energetic too.
There are some good suggestions there, so if you are feeling as tired as I am right now, check them out.

Brad, if you eat a larger meal, make it higher in protein. Carbs tend to push the snooze button for most people. I’d say, rather eat smaller meals more frequently. That keeps the blood sugar at a more steady level. And stop burning that midnight oil. You need your sleep!
Thanks for the great information. I have been looking for ages for a way to stop feeling so tired. I work up to 70 hours per week and sometimes I really don’t have the time to get a full night’s sleep.
However thanks to this information I have learned what I can do to make the most of the sleep that I do get.
Another great resource that has helped me a lot is http://www.alwaystired.info which showed me how to increase my energy levels naturally and decrease stress. You should have a look at this site because it has some very valuable tips.
Thanks again!
