GmailThis!
Posted under Web/TechI love bookmarklets.
“What are bookmarklets?” You ask.
They are small little JavaScript button state you can drag and drop into your browser toolbar that make life just a little bit easier. For instance I am composing the links to this post using a bookmarklet. What it does is copies quote format the text that I had highlighted from the previous page and it makes a new post, link included. :-)
There is a new one launched over at From the Hall that allows you to do the same thing but with GMail. Although I could not get it to work right with Opera browser, I am sure it works with other browsers.

GmailThis! is an easy way to make a Gmail email without visiting mail.google.com. Once you add the GmailThis! link to your browser’s toolbar, emailing will be a snap. Or rather, a click. Clicking GmailThis! creates a mini-interface to Gmail prepopulated with a link to the web page you are visiting, as well as any text you have highlighted on that page. Add additional text if you wish and then email or save as draft from within GmailThis!
