One advantage of excercising when you are older

I was on the treadmill this evening looking over the various target heart rates. On one side of the chart was what heart rate to shoot for if you wanted to lose weight. The other side, what to hit if you want the best cardio workout. As I have for years, I went for the cardio workout. But suddenly it dawned on me, the target heart rate I was shooting for was far less than it was 20 years ago.

When I did target heart rate training in my 20s I remember shooting for 160-65bpm, where now at 38, I have to only hit 146! So being an ole man means an easier workout. oooh ya!

Imagine how easy it is at 50. I can reach my target heart rate watching a football game. ;)

Brad are they certain food that can help in weight lost plus contribute to muscle tone. I have quite smoking and hae but on some weight and am working out, but the wight seems to be gaining one me and I was hoping you might have some suggestions. Thanks for your time and suggestions. Joe
