Elicit the help of a Goal Buddy…

101_goal_setting_breakthroughs_2008When the going gets tough, what do you do to be one of the tough that get going? Let’s face it, motivating yourself can be a struggle on bad days. Some days you might even feel it’s impossible.

So what can you do to get going when the well is dry and when motivation has left the building?

One of the best ways to motivate yourself to get to work on your goal is to find someone else to do it with you. When you have a spouse, friend or gym partner who is going for the same goal, they’ll motivate you when you are down.

This goes both ways. When he or she isn’t up to snuff, you will motivate them too.

“C’mon man! Let’s go, you can sleep after the workout!” Goes a long way to getting you off your butt.

Side benefit: You have a shoulder to cry on when times are tough. You have someone to laugh with when things are smooth.
