Life is getting ready to be a whole lot better for you.
If you have tried and failed, tried again and failed, there is still hope. Since today begins a new year, you can choose to treat it as any other day of the year, or you can treat it as a new beginning. New beginnings can fill us with hope and dreams. However, sometimes those hopes and dreams can fall a little short if our motivation wanes.
The next 31 days I will be posting 101 proven methods you can use to achieve your dreams in 2008.
I want this to be the end-all be-all goal setting breakthrough series. The excuses stop here. You’ll have every tool you need to get started and follow through for the rest of the year. If you adopt just one of these principles every other day, you’ll have enough insight to get you through the year.
What will 2008 be like, if every day you are focused and motivated 100% on your top goals? That is the main objective of this series.
If you just stay on track, show up every day, take the effort every day and not quit every day, 2008 will be a breakthrough year. You can even exceed the last five years if you set your mind to it. But there is one important step — you have to take the first step! Nobody else can do it for you.
I have broken the list up into four different areas.
1. How to set goals
2. How to motivate yourself
3. How to win the mental game of goal setting
4. How to follow through
5. Additional goal achievement tips
- I’m sure the next 30 will be enlightening, exciting and you’ll amaze yourself. I too found myself inspired as I laid the groundwork for this series. Many of these strategies go in order, so I highly recommend you subscribe to my RSS feed so you don’t miss a step. If not, set a reminder for yourself and check back every day. In order to fit in 101 tips in 31 days, that averages to slightly more than 3 posts per day!Happy New Year! And here’s to making 2008 your very best year ever!

Every new year comes with the promise of new beginnings. However, it is ultimately up to us to make that change for ourselves. Personally, I’m interested to see where this series takes me in my own goal-setting interests. I think it’s time I learn to take tips down and actually put them to use.
Jen – Agreed, although we can’t be blamed for the hand we’re dealt. We are still responsible for how we play it.
I’m rooting for ya!
Thanks for sending me this via StumbleUpon, Brad. I really like the idea of this, I’m sure these tips will be really good and I’ll be watching your blog very closely
Thanks again.
I have been hunting around for a structured goal setting mechanism to use to power my new year resolutions. I stumbled across the coffeephilosophy and used ‘Achieve-IT!’. Its a pretty handy tool all round to help you decide what you want out of life and how you will get there
