EverNote Write-Room Plug-in Stops Distractions for Bloggers

by Brad Isaac on February 13, 2008

Looking for a way to stop distractions while you are writing?

I’ve created a plug-in for Evernote that you can use to zero in on your work and send all thoseevernote_write_room_template.jpg distractions to the background. When you run Evernote in full screen mode, this plugin will block out all background distractions such as IM notifications, email blinkies and sidebar gadgets.

Great for bloggers to get writing done.

How to use:

1. Download the plugin and unzip it.

2. Go to File>Import and choose the ENExport.enx file you’ve downloaded.

3. Run Evernote

4. Click the full screen button twice to get it to cover your entire desktop.evernote_fullscreen.jpg

5. Start writing – distraction free!

How to download:

I have placed the download link at the bottom of every post in my RSS feed. I am trying to build up the number of RSS subscribers to my site, so if you aren’t already a subscriber, subscribe now and get the Evernote Write Room plug-in for free. Subscribers will see the download link immediately.

More Goodies…

I’ll be loading more goodies into the RSS feed in coming weeks, so don’t miss out, subscribe today.

Very nice!

This will come in handy for non-bloggers too.

I’ve subscribed all I can, but I can’t find the link to the plugin.. Can you help me out? It sounds awesome :)

I took down the link because it is no longer compatible with Evernote. No plugins are…

I have been poking around and see that there are Evernote plugins out there that are functional. Are there any plans to bring this plugin back. I have to say I have been dreaming of this and would really like to see it working again. I could really use something like this streamline my writing.
